Design Certification
Some niche industries require 3rd party engineers to check the equipment designer's work. Conway Engineering produces a very thorough Rated Capacity Verification Document to show that the design has been carefully reviewed and every aspect of the design has been diligently checked.
Your industry may not be required by law to provide such a certification, but maybe you are seeking peace of mind that your design:
- will not suffer a catastrophic failure
- will not fatigue and fail earlier than you would hope
- is as light as it can be
- has been thoroughly risk assesed (from both Operations and Design perspectives)
